I wish to massively mod a theremin I just purchased, originally was just going to remove the casing then build it a bigger one to store some converting materials in there but my query is can I remove the volume antennae, put some wire or something where it used to be to extend it out, then attach the antenna to the wire about a half a foot away then build the new casing to hold it in place? What kind of wire would I have to use for this?
