Spawned from the festering miasma of the Melbourne underground scene, The Night Terrors’ theremin-fueled electro-noise has been petrifying punters since the year 2000. The Terrors’ formula of soaring theremin, thunderous metal-bass, breakneck drumming and vintage horror synth has earnt them a reputation as one of Australia’s most unusual and original bands.

Featuring a completely instrumental lineup, with lead melodies handled by the dexterous theremin playing of Miles Brown (a student of Russian theremin queen Lydia Kavina) The Night Terrors offer a mind-melting alternative to the standard instrumental / postrock formula. No vocals, no guitars, just theremin, synth, bass and drums, this is mesmerising, other-worldly, spine-tingling psychedelic synth-centric electro rock.

The Night Terrors have shared the stage with Lou Reed (USA), Laurie Anderson (USA), Boris (JPN), Bardo Pond (USA), Melt-Banana (JPN), Marc Ribot (USA), Nick Oliveri (USA), Electric Electric (FR), Dope Stars Inc. (IT), Faderhead (IT), Midnight Juggernauts (AUS), HTRK (AUS), Devastations (AUS), HEIRS (AUS), Grey Daturas (AUS) and many more.

Following the release of two stellar EPs “The Night Terrors” and “Lightless” through Unstable Ape Records, The Night Terrors’ debut full length album “Back To Zero” was released in April 2009 through Australian label EXO Records. “Back To Zero” will be reissued for release in Europe/USA/Japan through TRENDKILL Recordings (France) in September 2010.
