Project: Pimento, the San Francisco-based lounge band whose line up includes thereminist Robby Virus, will be doing a Southern California mini-tour this weekend.
On Friday May 7, Project: Pimento will perform at Tiki Oasis IV (www.tikinews.com) in beautiful Palm Springs. Project: Pimento performs from 8:15-9:15 in a tiki-stuffed lineup of bands that also includes the Go Going Gone Girls, The Fisherman, and another theremin band: Seksu Roba! The Tiki Oasis will be held at the Caliente Tropics Hotel, and tickets are $40 (and only a limited number will be available at the door!).
On Saturday May 8, Project: Pimento will perform at The Knitting Factory (7021 Hollywood Blvd.) from 10pm-11pm in the Alterknit Lounge.
And on Sunday May 9, Project: Pimento play at the Bigfoot Lodge (3172 Los Feliz Blvd.) for the Tiki Oasis afterparty. Project: Pimento is headlining an all-star tiki lineup that also includes Seksu Roba, Lushy, and The Mai Kai Gents. Show starts at 9pm.
